Saturday June 22, Sankt Hans Danish Mid-Summer Celebration

We hope that you will join us on the beach for a picnic, hygge, snobrød and songs and to see the witch fly off to Bloksbjerg Saturday, June 22nd at East Mission Bay. House of Denmark will be bringing hot dogs and medister (Danish sausage).

Please bring a side dish, dessert, and utensils. We need a few people to make the dough for snobrød (s’mores are also welcome). Bring a blanket or beach chairs and eating utensils. We will have access to a couple of picnic tables with benches.

The event will start around 6 p.m. but feel free to come early and enjoy the afternoon or the day on the beach. We will be sending out our “scouts” early in the morning to secure a fire pit.

We will be located near East Mission Bay Drive south of the Mission Bay Park Visitor Information Center and north of the Hilton. To find us, exit I5 at Clairemont Drive/Mission Bay Drive, then go west towards the bay, turn left at the stop sign and follow signs to Playa Pacifica Park. You can look for a red awning with the House of Denmark name which will be put up near the bonfire place. Also, feel free to call Oda at 858-254-6295 if you still have trouble finding us.
