We gather for a visit to the Women’s Museum of California at Liberty Station Saturday, October 22nd at 4:00 p.m. at 2730 Historic Decatur Road, Barracks 16, San Diego , CA 92106
Please join us for an after-hour showing of the Women’s Museum located in Liberty Station. We will start with some light refreshments, after which the House of Denkmark’s own Anne Hoiberg, who is a former president and current board member of the museum, will offer an exclusive presentation and tour to our members.
While tending to her demanding job as a research psychologist (working for the Navy where she focused on health issues), Anne has spent decades dedicated to advancing women’s place in society. She has been a pioneer in promoting change aimed at breaking down any barriers holding women back or resulting in unequal treatment.
In 2012, Anne was inducted into the San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame for her role as an activist. Among far too many impressive accomplishments to mention, she has contributed to the UN Commission on Women, and the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.
Current eshibitions at the Women’s Museum illuminate first and second wave feminism and highlight women trailblazers of California.
Please RSVP by October 18. Thank you.
